Testimonials

“Tatiana has truly written a self-help book for the masses: this isn’t just for people wanting guidance ‘out of the Fog’ but a precursor to it, a preventative measure, as well as a firm helping hand through the fog (should you find yourself in need of guidance). It’s no surprise that if you don’t you take care of your mental and physical health first, your body will break down at the most inconvenient time.

‘Out of the Fog’ gives you the tools you need to protect and strengthen your health, well-being, energy, stability — to build and maintain the life you desire. Likewise, it’s your saving grace to get ‘out of Fog’ through gentle direction and facilitating a safe space with anecdotes and perspective shifts for you to find your own clarity.

“It is well-written and very easy to read. It served as a reinforcement for things I already know but have been forgetting or pushing aside in favour of ‘more important’ tasks. I feel like it’s a book to keep and refer back to regularly, to make sure I don’t forget about myself. I highly recommend it for those who are new to this journey and for those who, like me, already know but struggle to apply these concepts in their lives. The book offers good tips and strategies for everyone who would like to improve and overcome unnecessary obstacles. I love it!”

“How to get out of the fog is a mental massage that everyone needs from time to time. While the book focuses on self-discipline, Tatiana gives you a gentle reminder to be kinder to yourself, to acknowledge your fear and self-doubt, to embrace your flaws and start the journey from baby steps. The advice in the book is practical and easy to follow.”

“I have to admit, that your book “How to Get Out Of The Fog” surprised me. I was expecting something I have read previously, but thankfully I was wrong.
Your book is fresh and new. It discusses very important topics, including gratitude, and self –discipline, which were the things I struggled with the most.

You helped me change my approach to gratitude, self-discipline and self-acceptance; as well as changing my approach to myself.
My self-acceptance (which you discuss in great detail) can now flourish, after reading your beautiful and important book.
I am also pleasantly surprised at how easy it was for me to implement the changes you discuss.

These “small” changes had a huge impact on my life”.

How to get out of the fog by Tatiana Slezak captivated me from the beginning to end. It’s easy to read, practical and inspiring. The author skilfully included some personal experiences that make the book really meaningful. I also enjoyed the useful set of concrete activities to put into practice what it was written before and the legacy letter is an extra plus. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for personal and professional growth.

Dear Reader,

Are you feeling stuck and unable to achieve your goals? Are you tired of failing quickly and feeling like you’ll never get anywhere? If so, my new book is exactly what you need.
But let me be clear: this is not a typical self-discipline book.

I’m not here to push you harder or tell you what to do. Instead, I’m going to take you on a journey inside yourself and help you discover your true potential in a gentle, caring way.

I use my own real-life examples and relatable stories to explain the concepts of self-discipline, self-love and self-care in a way that is easy to understand so that you can apply it to your own life.

Instead of bombarding you with typical motivational cliches, I provided strategies emphasising the importance of enjoying the journey. I give tough love, but I also understand that life isn’t always easy, encouraging you to be kind to yourself.

At the end of the book you will find practical exercises that you can tailor to your own unique circumstances. These are the exact exercises that I have used on my own journey that I am sure will help on your own journey.

I wrote this book based on the idea that self-discipline is self-care. The traditional view of self-discipline is often associated with hard work and sacrifice. This may work for many but it definitely does not work for all. I wanted to write this book to show you that self discipline can also be an act of self-care.

The Story Behind The Book

Well, now you may be asking how did it all start. So it all started when I asked myself a simple question:

“If I continue living my life the way I am now, what will my life look like in 10, 20, or 30 years?”

And the answer scared me to death. I saw myself as an overweight person, unable to walk properly. That was absolutely not the person I wanted to be.

I realised that my mother, at 74, was still actively helping others, and I knew that wouldn’t be me if I continued down the same path.

Another situation was starting my own business which was a dream come true, but it quickly revealed a surprising challenge: I struggled to work effectively without the pressure and structure that comes with being employed by someone else. Suddenly, I was on my own, and I found myself working only when I felt motivated, which led to my business not progressing as I had hoped.

That’s when I decided to take control of my life and make changes to create the future I wanted to see.

I wrote this book to show people what helped me and that it is possible to completely change your life and to show you how you can create the future you want.
